It’s been seven months since I started my blog. A very fun seven months. 🙂 I decided to take a look to see how the blog has impacted my family’s life financially so I crunched some numbers. For the first quarter of 2011, I spent $3000 less running the household than I did in the first quarter of 2010. (Yay!!!) Our quality of life hasn’t changed, if anything it’s better.

I’ve always been pretty good at saving money, but I’ve found that the more I blog, the easier it gets. I hope the blog is helping you too! As I get better at finding great deals, I hope to save more and more. Maybe next quarter, I’ll have saved $4000. My goal is to save as much every year as I made when I was working.
