I love taking the kids here, it’s an “an authentic 1800s town with historically accurate reproductions of a blacksmith’s shop, an 1890s dress shop, a town cemetery, a bandstand, and a community church.” There are people in costume, it’s really a fun day for the entire family.

I’m sure I’ve written before that part of my husband’s family settled in AZ during the Civil War. Our kids are 6th generation Arizona (which is pretty rare around here), and Pioneer gives them an idea of what life must have been like back then.
