If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you know that I love finding great, affordable restaurants (and meeting nice people)! I can’t wait for you to try my new favorite place, Pellini Italian Eatery (across the street from Scottsdale Quarter and Kierland). Their concept is unique, they offer very fresh Italian food with your choice of meats, seafood, sauces, veggies, and toppings. The vegetables are locally farmed when possible, the sauces are made fresh in house daily, and the meats are all natural. It reminds me a little bit of an Italian Chipotle.
The prices are amazingly affordable (and you know I don’t say that about many places). A pasta bowl, salad, or Piadina sandwich will set you back around $6.60 and comes with your choice of Tuscan steak, grilled chicken, chicken Milanesa, salmon, or shrimp (shrimp and salmon are a little bit more $). They are plenty big enough for two adults to share (or to have an extra meal later). You get to customize your bowl with as many veggies (think artichoke hearts, zucchini, arugula, mushrooms, red peppers, tomatoes, onions, eggplant, cannellini beans, and many others), sauces, and toppings (pancetta, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, feta cheese, and more) as you like.
They have great kids meals, spinach-artichoke cheese dip, and amazing desserts (their Piadina filled with Nutella is WONDERFUL)! Everything is so affordable.
Another great part about the restaurant is how nice the people are. Ask to talk to the co-owner Chris, he will make you feel right at home. You can tell that he’s genuinely excited to serve new customers. Everyone there truly goes above and beyond to make people happy.
