It’s more important than ever to save at the grocery store!
Check out the ads each Wednesday, if you buy your must-haves when they’re on sale, especially non-perishables, you’ll save a bunch. If you don’t get the ads in the mail or in the newspaper, they’re available on each grocery stores’ website (check out links to Albertsons, Bashas’, Fry’s, Safeway, and Sprouts). You can also head to my site dealsinaz.com to see my favorite deals in the grocery ads each week.
If you’re 55 or better, shop on the first Wednesday of each month. At Albertsons, Bashas’, Fry’s, and Safeway you’ll save an automatic 10% off your grocery bill. That can make a big difference!
Use your cell phone to save big! Most stores have online coupons in their apps that are tied to your customer loyalty account. If you take a few minutes to click the digital coupons, the savings can add up fast.
Use Ibotta. This is a fantastic app that gives you cash back on all kinds of things you’re already buying. You’ll get $10 back with your first receipt, it’s as easy as scanning barcodes and taking a picture of receipts. Examples of cashback offers available now are $1.25 back when you buy Super Pretzels, $3 back when you buy Luvs diapers, $1 back when you buy Suja Organic Cold Pressed Juice, and many more! The average user saves over $200 a year!
It’s important to get into a money-saving mindset…if you pay attention to what you’re buying and even when you’re buying it, you’ll save cash without sacrificing your quality of life!
Prescription drugs can take a big bite out of your budget each month.
Here are a few tips for saving:
Check your pharmacy’s cash pay price, don’t always assume that going through insurance is your best bet. There are hundreds of drugs available for around $4 for a month’s supply or $10 for a three-month supply at many pharmacies around town, including Bashas‘. Each pharmacy has a separate list of low-cost cash-pay prescriptions available… shop around to find the best price for the drug you need.
Get a prescription savings card. Sites like Good RX will send you a free card that will get you discounts on almost every drug available at the pharmacy.
Check the manufacturers’ website for the drug you take. Many offer savings cards of their own that can save you a huge amount of money. For example, if your doctor prescribed you Lipitor for high cholesterol, you could save up to $1800 a year with the prescription discount card that you can only get directly from them.
Keep in mind that Amazon now has a pharmacy that will deliver directly to your door. The prices are lower than at many physical pharmacies, and Prime members can get extra savings.
Enjoy the savings!
