If your dog doesn’t have a Microchip, MCACC wants to give you one for free! Head over here to make an appointment at their West Shelter. Check out what they say about it on their website:
“To help pet owners avoid the heartbreaking nightmare of searching for a missing pet, we are presenting Mission Microchip to offer free microchipping services through the end of the year.
We are offering appointments every day of the week at our West shelter. Registration is required ahead of time, and MCACC hopes all Maricopa County dog owners will take advantage of this free service.
Studies show that more than five million animals enter shelters nationwide each year. Of those shelter animals, forty to sixty percent are lost pets. The unfortunate reality is that one in three pets will go missing at some point, sometimes at no fault of the owner. Even the most well-behaved dogs can get lost or run off unexpectedly. Microchipping dogs not only greatly increases the chances of reuniting these lost dogs with their owners, but it may also help reduce the crowding problem shelters are facing all over the US.
To receive a microchip through the Mission Microchip event, please register for an appointment. Times open up two weeks in advance. Please check back daily if no appointments are available.”
Please share this with someone who can benefit! Our pets are so precious!
Enjoy!
