My son is in college across the country and I just shipped his first care package (by the way, care package parties are so much fun…everyone brings something to add to the boxes and it’s a fantastic excuse to get together). I’m not used to shipping things since most of my family is in town (and free shipping is almost always available online) but care packages require good old-fashioned postage (and a lot of it). My friend Susan told me about the site Pirate Ship (head over here to check it out). They have software that will save you the most money possible on things you’re shipping (choose UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc.). You box up your package and print out the label at home. I saved over HALF OFF shipping my five-pound box to North Carolina (I was so excited and had to share).
Check it out if you ever ship packages and let me know how much you save!
Thanks again, Susan!
