Why not join AARP?! I just did and I got a car rental in February for $40 less than I was going to pay through Costco (and I’m getting an intermediate SUV instead of a compact car)!

On their website they say in the FAQs: “While AARP is dedicated to people over 50, there is no minimum age to join. Anyone 18 and older can get an AARP membership for as low as $12 for the first year with automatic renewal.” My friend’s husband just got his AARP card when he turned 50. That got me wondering what the age to join is. Who knew it’s 18?! There are some insurance deals for people over 65, but I couldn’t find any deal I’d be interested in that I’m not eligible for (please let me know if you find something good we’ll miss out on and I’ll share)!
