Saturday, September 30th is National Public Lands Day and that means FREE ADMISSION to all of the national parks for all! If you live in AZ and you’ve never been to the Grand Canyon, there really is no excuse! We have more national parks than any other state, and they’re all worth a trip (many are close together so you can hit a few in a day). Head over here for a list of all of the fee-free days. If Saturday doesn’t work for you, mark Veterans Day weekend (November 11-12th) on your calendar!
If you have a fourth grader this year, don’t forget about the Every Kid in a Park program! Head over here to request a pass for them to get up to three adults and unlimited kids (or a whole car full) into every national park through August 2018.
My daughter Kaitlyn was in 4th grade last year and we definitely took advantage of the pass. We took a family road trip to Yellowstone in July and it was amazing. We made stops at other national parks along the way too.
Please share with anyone you know with a 4th grader or 4th grade teachers!
