You can make a HUGE difference in the life of a foster child! DCS usually has 5-7 businesses lined up to do toy drives for foster kids but as of now they have none. YOU can change that!

From Community Coordinator Pamela Harris:

“We are looking for donations of toys to be distributed to foster children in Maricopa County.   We focus on collecting toys to distribute to Kinship families.  These are families that are carefully watching over children while their parents are working on services to help them become a better parent.    They might not only be relatives of the family.  They can be a teachers, coaches, scout leaders, etc.  Many of these families already have children of their own but they want to make sure that the children are with people who know them and love them.

We will accept toys starting from infants all the way up to 17 year olds.  Toys can come from individuals, groups, businesses, etc.   We are so thankful for the community support!!

My sister is a biology teacher at Tempe high school and also a kinship provider to one of her students. She truly has a heart of gold as do the other kinship families who provide care for these kids. The teens are the ones who often don’t get as many gifts donated.
