I put together the places to stay, things to do, and spots to eat in Mesa that I’m most excited about.

Places to stay in Mesa:

Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch: “At Saguaro Lake Ranch, an Arizona guest ranch located by Saguaro Lake, on the banks of the Salt River, in the shadow of the majestic Bulldog Cliffs – life is simple. Sun-filled days, exciting adventures, idyllic star-lit nights and good company combine to create a vacationdestination wedding, or corporate event that will live long in the memory. Our 20 rustic cabins with panoramic views of a wilderness made famous by the writings of Zane Grey, and outdoor activities to suit everyone, make our property a true oasis in Arizona’s Sonoran Desert.” Head over here to check out some pretty incredible reviews on Trip Advisor. This is DEFINITELY on my list of places I’d love to visit.

Delta Hotels by Marriott: This is a Mesa hotel I’ve stayed at for a dance convention. My daughter and I had a great time. The beds are comfy, it’s close to restaurants, it has a nice pool and spa, and the people are friendly.

Also worth noting: “A multi-million dollar, full-scale renovation has just been completed on the Marriott Phoenix Mesa, located in the heart of Downtown Mesa, Arizona. The property officially rebranded and became Delta Hotels by Marriott Phoenix Mesa on October 3, 2018. The renovation included all 274 guestrooms and suites, flexible meeting space, lobby and common areas, as well as the property’s two dining venues Café Azul and AZ Brew.
Newly, refreshed interiors throughout all 274 guest rooms, corridors, lobby and common areas feature a color palette and textiles embracing the desert, its flora, fauna, skies, minerals, sunrises and sunsets. Guest rooms have been equipped with a new television entertainment package and high-speed internet upgrade.” Head over here to check out reviews on Trip Advisor.

Sheraton Mesa Hotel at Wrigleyville West: This hotel is close to shopping, restaurants, and lots of fun activities. “The hotel’s 180 elegantly-appointed guest rooms, including 51 Junior Suites and 8 VIP suites each featuring plush furnishings, modern amenities, and thoughtful touches for both leisure and business travelers. Enjoy La Plancha Grill for dinner or Stats Sports Grill for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The hotel’s one-acre resort-style pool area has two swimming pools, two plunge pools, a hot tub, poolside services and modern fire and water features throughout. Make time for a workout in the state-of-the-art Sheraton Fitness center or to be pampered in the full-service salon.” Head over here to check out Trip Advisor reviews.

Things to do in Mesa:

Desert Belle Cruises: “Sit back and relax on this 90-minute narrated cruise where you’ll see towering canyon walls, dramatic desert vistas, and exotic Arizona wildlife. Listen as the captain describes the unique history of Saguaro Lake and the surrounding area. Don’t forget your camera and binoculars.” I went on this several years ago and had a great time!

The Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum: “Commemorative Air Force Airbase Arizona is dedicated to preserving the history of those who served in military aviation. Worthwhile exhibits and presentations are more than hardware or weapons — they are about the people who went in harm’s way or who rose to countless challenges behind the front lines or from the home front.” This is the #1 rated thing to do in Mesa on Trip Advisor, head over here to check out reviews from people who have been.

Cosmos Salon and Med Spa: If a day at the spa sounds fantastic, you may want to request your $100 gift card to Cosmos in Mesa. They offer hair and nail services, facials, peels, lash services, even Botox! It’s a beautiful salon located in a beautiful part of Mesa very close to Las Sendas.

Places to eat in Mesa:

Organ Stop Pizza: If you live in AZ and you’ve never been here, you’re missing out! The food is delicious and the music is truly incredible. “A rare find that is entertaining for all generations, Organ Stop is a must see, (and hear) experience.  Featuring the largest Wurlitzer Theater Pipe Organ in the world, the master musicians play everything from Bach to rock while customers dine on delicious pizza, pasta, salad, soft drinks, beer, wine and delicious ice cream!”

The Original Blue Adobe Grill: They say this is “the place you hope to find in your travels.” Lucky for us it’s close by! “New Mexico cuisine with fresh ingredients, specialties include the Land of Enchantment combo with marinated tenderloin, pecan grilled chipotle shrimp, chicken enchilada and green chili potato, chicken verde, and shrimp rotelle.” Delicious!

Board & Batten: “Board & Batten prides itself on using the best ingredients possible when preparing our cuisine. Executive Chef Tony Snyder utlilizes fresh, locally grown produce and ingredients. ” The menu looks amazing, I can’t wait to try it out!

There are so many other great hotels, activities, and restaurants in Mesa that you can also choose.
