First Friday is this week in downtown Phoenix! If you haven’t been before, the promoters describe it as: “A neighborhood celebration with art, street vendors, live music, entertainment, amazing food, great craft beer, wine & much more! No cover.” One of my favorite things about First Friday is the opportunity to visit three of AZ’s best museums FREE OF CHARGE!

The Children’s Museum of Phoenix: Admission is free for all on September 5th from 5-9 PM. Take the kids for an exciting evening of fun and learning! Admission is usually $19 for everyone 1 and over…a family of 4 will save $76! Mark your calendar…admission will also be free on October 3rd!

The Heard Museum: Admission is free for all on September 5th from 4-8 PM. Admission is normally $26 for adults and $10 for children.
“Celebrate art, culture, and community with an evening full of inspiration and connection…all of our galleries will be open–including two standout exhibitions you won’t want to miss.”
“Come early and stay cool as you explore the museum, make memories in the Heardlings Family Activity Room, and stop by The Museum Shop for beautifully crafted items by Indigenous artists and authors. Our Coffee Cantina will also be open until 7:30 p.m. for refreshing Prickly Pear Lemonade, snacks, and adult beverages to enjoy under the twinkly lights outside the museum entrance.”

Phoenix Art Museum: General admission is free for all on September 5th from 5-8 PM. “Separate tickets are required to view special exhibition The World of Anna Sui…at an additional cost. Click HERE to purchase special exhibition tickets.”
