I found a great deal at the PVC resort in the White Mountains…as low as $179 for two nights for a 2-bedroom cabin that sleeps up to six (usually $424). The Pinetop resort gets great reviews on Trip Advisor.

If you want to escape to Prescott, I found a deal at the Historic Hotel Vendome…as low as $126 for two nights including daily breakfast for two, beer tastings or a bottle of wine for the grown ups, and more. This is usually $236 and you can bring one child up to 18 years old for free. If you have more kids, call them about booking a bigger room for an extra fee. This place gets wonderful reviews and one person even said they felt like they were in a cowboy Western movie.
