If you could use a little bit of help with school supplies this year (or you know someone who could), head over here to check out the Phoenix Tools 4 School promotion hosted by the Checkered Flag Foundation July 25th from 7-10 AM.

Here’s the info they sent me:

“Located at 1624 East Broadway Rd. Phoenix the fun will be going from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. During the event, 2,000 K-8 students from the Phoenix area will receive FREE school supplies that will have them jumping for joy that first day back. In addition to the free backpack of goodies, a tasty breakfast, a haircut and/or hairstyle will also be provided to the students for free on a first come basis – so they are ready for a great start to the year!

With this program, the Checkered Flag Run Foundation provides educational resources that impact under served students. According to Alan “AP” Powell, founder of Checkered Flag Run Foundation’s “access to quality educational opportunities ensures the investment of every student getting to cross that finish line!” School supplies will be given away on a first come, first serve basis, so please plan to arrive early so you don’t miss out!”
