Honestly the #1 store we are excited about this back to school season is Dollar Tree! We found huge boxes of Scotties tisssues, great looking binders, dry erase boards, big containers of hand sanitizer, a protractor and compass, and lots more for a buck! It seems like they’ve made a huge effort to make their items nicer and more unique this year. Not everything at a dollar is a bargain, but many school supplies are!
Our next stop for school supplies was Office Max. My biggest tip here is to snag an ad and stick to the bargains. They can be difficult to find but they do have some good deals. We found 12 packs of pencils for $.50, poly folders for $.50, and a few other good deals. I did notice many of the supplies are way more expensive than what you’d pay elsewhere. It pays to know what you’re looking for and keep a plan of what’s a deal where.
We hit Target next. We found 24 packs of Crayola crayons for $.50, three packs of pink pearl erasers for $1.44, two packs of Elmers glue sticks for $.50, Crayola markers and colored pencils for under a buck, deals on Clorox wipes, and more. Be sure to use the Cartwheel app to get savings on items you might not expect. We got an extra 30% off our watercolor set. Also keep in mind that if you use your Red Card debit or credit card, you’ll save an extra 5% off everything. Head over here to get one.
Our next store was Walmart. The king of low prices did have some sweet deals like great looking composition books for $.50, headphones for $4.88, huge packs of mechanical pencils for under $2, and more. Again, if you have time to hit more than one store, there are deals and non-deals to be had at each of them.
Last stop Kohl’s. If you have a Kohl’s charge you can head over here to get 30% off with code BBQ30 and free shipping on any size order with code FREE4JULY. You can use the discount on Adidas shoes, Jansport backpacks, school uniforms, and more.
Keep in mind that new ads come out every Sunday with new deals to save you money on back to school shopping. This should be fun and not a chore any parent should dread! Even if you don’t have kids, it’s the best time to stock up on office supplies.
Enjoy!
