- “Who’s in charge: veteran Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald, a nine-time Pro Bowler who has racked up more than 1,000 catches and 13,000 yards in his career
- Who else participates: Though this year’s roster of celebrity athletes and coaches has yet to be announced, it will assuredly be studded with big names. Past participants include the likes of Donovan McNabb, Kurt Warner, and NBA Hall of Famer Gary Payton.
- Whom it benefits: Fitzgerald’s own First Down Fund, an effort that provides support to organizations across the country looking to provide positive activities for kids so they don’t spend every day after school throwing rocks at their homework
- What to expect: Celebrity athletes will launch balls into orbit during a Home Run Derby at 6 p.m., with the actual game beginning at 7 p.m. Fans in attendance will also have the chance to collect autographs and bid on memorabilia.”
