Holiday events can cost your family hundreds of dollars. Check out these fun FREE activities I found that won’t break the bank:
Stop by “Sparkling Surprise”! If you happen to be on the west side, you won’t want to miss the “Sparkling Surprise” light display. There are over 200,000 lights, a 40-foot Christmas tree, giant candy canes, light features on the lake, and lots more. Unlike many other events around town, this is COMPLETELY FREE and will be glowing nightly from 5:30-10 PM through January 2nd. Head over here for more information.
Get Free Pics With Santa at Bass Pro Shops! You don’t have to pay anything to get a fantastic pic with Santa. Head over here to make an appointment in Mesa or Glendale. Their Santa is always fabulous, there are lots of activities for the kids, and you’ll go home with a free print. We did this every year when the kids were little. The store is fun to explore too!
Watch The Polar Express on Frank Kush Field at ASU on December 16th! Bring a blanket and good cheer to watch The Polar Express FOR FREE on the big screen at Sun Devil Stadium! The kids will love sitting on the field! They’ll have a holiday market starting at 4 PM and the movie will start at 6. Head over here to register for this completely free community event.
Another free stop on the holiday tour in AZ is Scottsdazzle. Take the family for a FREE walk around the lights and art displays. On December 16th there will be a live nativity happening at the Old Adobe Mission Church downtown from 6:30-8:30, head over here for more information. There will be live animals to pet in the manger, free refreshments, and more. See the beauty of the season come to life! I love that parking is free too!
