If you shop at Target regularly you already know it’s not always the cheapest store. Sometimes it IS the most convenient. I haven’t taken advantage of Target’s price match guarantee in quite a while and just had a personal experience with it that’s a great reminder for all of us. Head over here to check out the guarantee rules. In a nutshell, they’ll match the price of identical, in-stock objects sold by Amazon, Walmart, or Target.com (no third parties). If you’re buying something big, you might as well double-check competitor prices on your phone (it will take ten seconds). This could save you big bucks on holiday gifts!

Yesterday, my daughter could not find her TI-84 calculator anywhere. She had calculus homework due and needed one immediately so I went on a shopping mission. Target had the calculator in stock but it was $149.99 (they’re so much less expensive at back-to-school time…ugh). The exact same calculator was in stock at Amazon for $114.42. I showed guest services the link and got the price matched (and my daughter didn’t have to wait for her calculator to be delivered by Amazon). The Target associate went through the entire price match guarantee with me (another employee came over to learn) and the most interesting part was that she fully admitted prices are often different at Target stores and on Target.com.

If you have a calculator emergency or just want one-stop shopping, this will save you time and sanity (it would have bugged me so much to pay full price)!
