Thanks so much for tuning into Good Morning Arizona today! I hope you’ll “like” Alicia’s Deals on facebook where I’ll help you “live life better for less” every single day. You can also click here to join the Alicia’s Deals e-mail list, I’ll send an e-mail each day with all of the best deals in town. You can unsubscribe at any time and I promise never to share your e-mail with anyone!

If you take a few moments each week checking out the ads (or reading my weekly best deals at the grocery stores post), you can save HUGE at Walmart.

Head over here to check out their ad match guarantee.

Here are a few highlights:

  • “We will match any local competitor’s advertised price.
  • We do not require customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor’s ad. (this is HUGE…people think it’s really hard and they have to actually have the ads with them)
  • Items purchased must be identical to the ad (size, quantity, brand, flavor, color, etc.), for fresh produce and meat items, the price is offered in the same unit type (lb. for lb; each for each)”

On Sunday my family came along with me to ad match at Walmart.

I picked up a watermelon for a buck (the weekend sale price at Sprouts, unfortunately no longer on sale).

I got a large cantaloupe for $.98 (the sale price at Sprouts through Wednesday)

I picked up a 16 oz. package of Strawberries for $.87 (the sale price at Albertsons through Tuesday)

I got a box of Frosted Flakes for $1.99 (the sale price at Bashas’ through Tuesday)

I had none of the ads with me and saved almost $7 on just these four items. Imagine if you do this with everything in your cart!

No driving around town, you’ll get all of the specials in one spot.

This works on other competitors ads too!

Be sure to check out all of the specifics of the policy. You may want to print it off and bring it with you in case you’re questioned (which I know is so annoying)!

Enjoy and SAVE!
