Why I always book rental cars through Costco:
- The prices are usually better than other places.
- You don’t pay anything up front to reserve, and there is no penalty to cancel. Once we were getting a car at the Charlotte airport, and there was a 3-hour line at the rental car counter we had booked through Costco. Another counter was empty, and I was able to cancel my reservation on my phone AND book a new reservation. It saved us a TON of time and frustration!
- You can always check your reservation before your trip and see if the price has gone down. I did this JUST NOW for a reservation I booked in November to get the $25 gift card deal. The cherry on top was that my reservation was over 50% cheaper than it was when I booked it so many months ago!
